MONROVIA, September 10 (LINA) - Deputy Education Minister Aagon Tingba has reiterated government’s commitment to transforming the country’s education sector. He said the transformation of the education sector is one of the major priorities of the government as part of efforts to enhance the development of the country. 

MONROVIA, September 10 (LINA) – Criminal Court ”C” at the Temple of Justice has begun hearing into a US$66,000 and L$449,515 misapplication case involving Lone Star Cell Communication Regional Supervisor Suzatte Binda Blake. 
Madam Blake was on February 23 charged with “Misapplication of Entrusted Property” by the Grand Jury of Montserrado County.

MONROVIA, September 10 (LINA) - Liberia has the potential for renewable energy and to change from the 20 megawatts Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) from which it is operating currently, Deputy Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Director Urias Goll has indicated.

MONROVIA, September 10 (LINA) – The Supreme Court has ruled that Lone Star Communications Incorporated is liable to pay tax obligation to the Government of Liberia in the amount of US$2,376,098.78. The amount includes re-characterized taxable taxes on expatriates’ salaries amounting to US$956,786.20; withholding on non-residents, US$889,682.38 and interest of US$159,391.99 and US$370,238.21.
