Criminal Court 'D' has slapped six notorious armed robbers with seven years imprisonment each for armed robberies in the 72nd, Soul Clinic and Cow Field Communities in Paynesville City outside Monrovia.

The Board of Commissioners of the National Elections Commission (NEC) led by its Chairman, Cllr. Jerome Kokoyah recently paid a special visit to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Three of the 15 senators-elect in the just-ended Special Senatorial Elections did not receive certificate because the Supreme Court has placed a stay order on the results of the polls in the three counties. The counties include Margibi, Grand Cape Mount and Bomi.

A Muslim leader has condemned religious divide in elections as a means of votes getting, adding that it is a recipe for conflict in the country.
