Superintendent Paasewe constituted the Ebola taskforce recently in Tienii, Tewor District, during an Ebola sensitization meeting which brought together paramount, clan and town chiefs, and district and township commissioners of the five districts in the county.

According to the Liberia News Agency (LINA), the taskforce is being chaired by the Superintendent, co-chaired by Dr. Julius Garbo, head of the County Health Team (CHT), with the County Inspector, Eric Pinney, the LINA correspondent in the county, youth and women leaders, the Christian and Muslim communities as members.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Paasewe has also formed sub-task forces for the five districts of the county, which are Tewor, Garwula, Commonwealth, Porkpa and Gola Konneh.

The district taskforces will be chaired by the district commissioners.

He explained that the various task forces will submit Ebola situational reports to the county task force for proper redress in the interest of the people.

The Grand Cape Mount County leader said the prevention of Ebola from further spreading in the county requires the collective effort of all the people in the county.

He explained that his administration has set up several Ebola task forces because the county borders Sierra Leone, which has been described as an epicenter of the Ebola outbreak West Africa.
