MONROVIA August 15 (LINA) - Information Minister Lewis G. Brown has said entertainment centers that fail to adhere to preventive measures against the Ebola disease run the risk of closure.

Minister Brown made specific reference to video and night clubs, and warned them to provide hygienic facilities for hand washing as well as ensure that their premises are not overcrowded.

The Information minister sounded the warning Thursday at the Ministry of Information regular weekly press briefing held in the ministry’s conference room.

He also cautioned the entities concerned to provide spacious and well ventilated conditions to ensure that people do not sit squeezed together and rubbing against one another.

“We are aware that next week the European Leagues are slated to begin, we will dispatch our teams all around, you are required to have a bucket and hand washing facilities at your door. We also call on the Union of video clubs to play a leading role in ensuring that the (Ebola) message is disseminated,” he said.

“Do not overcrowd the entertainment area or video club or else we will close you down,” Minister Brown stressed.

Meanwhile, the Government has announced that all schools will remain closed until further notice and that school authorities will be notified about the reopening of schools at the appropriate time.

Making the pronouncement, Minister Brown said every activity, including students registration, remain closed until further information from the Ministry of Education.

The Information Minister warned that violators of the Ministry of Education order will face the full force of the law.
