According to BIN Commissioner Lemuel A. Reeves, the Ebola awareness campaign among members of the Joint Security is critical in ensuring that people moving around the nation and those coming in and leaving the country are not exposed to the Ebola virus.
He made the disclosure at the weekend when the BIN presented protective materials and buckets to Joint Security officers at their various checkpoints as part of preventive measures against the Ebola disease.
Reeves reminded the security men that Liberia is in a state of emergency and that it was important for all joint security personnel to be vigilant in the performance of their duties.
He stressed that the people should follow preventive measures outlined by the Health Ministry no matter the status of an individual because, he noted, “the Ebola virus does not know who is a big man or a small man.”
Commissioner Reeves said the fight against the Ebola virus is a national battle, and that all Liberians are required to get involved.
