She said the effective way to eradicate Ebola from the country is for security forces and healthcare workers to stop the migration of Ebola victims and quarantine those that come into contact with them.

President Sirleaf made the call on Saturday when she visited several communities and the Liberia Government Hospital in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.

She reminded residents of the county that the Ebola disease has no cure, and that the best way to prevent its spread and save lives is to adhere to the preventive measures put in place by the Health Ministry.

President Sirleaf urged the residents to report infected persons to healthcare workers.

She observed that by reporting Ebola victims to health authorities on time, people will save the lives of their family and community members.

President Sirleaf said hiding Ebola patients in communities is a dangerous thing, adding, “You are helping to spread the virus to infect more people.”
