MONROVIA, August 25 (LINA) - The local non-governmental organization, Chicago Bright Foundation, has started distributing plastic buckets and detergents in four counties to help curb the spread of the Ebola disease in rural Liberia.

According to the Program Director Gibson Buku-Gailor, the Foundation is collaborating with two civil society organizations to distribute the items and create awareness about the Ebola virus in Montserrado, Bong, Bassa and Margibi counties.

Buku-Gailor said the distribution will target communities in these counties where the Foundation has implemented projects, including the construction of hand pumps, latrines and play grounds.

He said the initiative is a self-help quick impact project targeting underprivileged and remote communities, and assured that other counties will shortly be covered under the program.
