Chairman Imam Mohammed A. Paasewe, who is also Superintendent of Grand Cape Mount County, made the disclosure during the task force meeting held in Sinje Town in Garwula District recently.
According to Imam Paasewe, availability of the amount will enhance the fight to curtail the spread of the Ebola virus in the county.
He said part of the amount will be used to purchase personal protective gears and other items for health workers to encourage them return to work, having abandoned their duties for fear of contracting the virus.
Chairman Paasewe said portion of this amount will come from the county development fund.
Meanwhile, he has appealed to companies operating in the county to contribute towards the Ebola budget, as failure to raise this amount will render the Ebola Taskforce incapable of achieving its objective of eliminating the Ebola disease.
