Dr. Tucker’s call Tuesday comes in the wake of reports that some heads of government agencies in the county were doing the job of local health authorities.

He made reference to a recent incident in which an official of a certain government ministry made decisions on health matters that are not within the purview of that ministry relative to the Ebola disease.

Tucker cautioned that health-related matters should be addressed to the Task Force which is responsible to provide information on health issues in the county.

Meanwhile, the Ebola Task Forces of Gbarpolu and Grand Cape Mount counties are collaborating to deploy health workers at the Lofa Bridge, which is a boundary between the two counties, to test travelers to and from the two areas.

In a related development, several Gbarpolu citizens in the United States have made a cash donation of US$1,500 to the Task Force through the County Superintendent Allen Gbowee and the Principal of the Bopolu Bible Mission (BBM), Anthony Mark, to fight Ebola in the county.
