VOINJAMA, August 31 (LINA) - International NGO Plan Liberia, operating in Lofa County, has renewed its contract with Radio Kintoma in Voinjama, the provincial capital, to disseminate anti-Ebola messages on the station.

According to the Management of Radio Kintoma, the contract covers the period August 30, 2014 to October 7, 2014.

Under the agreement, Radio Kintoma will extend its broadcast by four hours daily to air Ebola-related messages from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs as well as other actors in the fight against Ebola in Lofa County.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency recently at Radio Kintoma, Station Manager John Gayflor said during the four hour program, the station will conduct daily talk shows and phone-in call programs to generate views from the public about their understanding of the Ebola virus.

The Radio Kintoma management also disclosed that the four-hour extension will run from 11:00 A.M to 3:00P.M. daily, beginning Saturday, August 30, 2014.

In keeping with the agreement, Plan Liberia will underwrite the cost associated with the extra four-hour airtime.

It can be recalled that in June and July, Plan Liberia supported the extension of the broadcast hours of Radio Kintoma.
