SANNIQUELLIE, August 31 (LINA) - Nimba County Superintendent Fong Zuagele has disclosed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has approved US$100,000 for the County Task Force to combat the Ebola virus.

The amount was allotted by the County Legislative Caucus chaired by Senator Thomas Grupee, who announced the allotment of the amount recently.

Superintendent Fong told journalists recently that the money has already been deposited in the account of the County Task Force at a local bank.

Zuagele, who is chairman of the County Task Force, told journalists that the money will be used to purchase personal protective gears for health workers, provide transportation for volunteer Task Force workers, food for quarantine centers, detergents for public use, and drugs for suspected Ebola patients.

He assured citizens of transparency and accountability in the use of the funds.

The fund was deducted from previous budgetary allotments, he said.
