SANNIQUELLIE, September 1 (LINA) -The West Africa Network for Peace Building (WANEP) has ended a one-day awareness workshop on the Ebola virus at the Martha Tubman Campus in Sanniquellie.

According to WANEP Field OfficerPhilip Kollie, the objective of the workshop was to build the capacities of participating organizations working to curtail further spread of the Ebola disease.

WANEP is working in three districts in Nimba County -- Sanniquellie, Bain Garr, and Saclepea.

Speaking to newsmen at the end of the workshop at the weekend, Kollie cautioned citizens to adhere to the preventive measures outlined by the Health Ministry in containing the spread of the disease.

Participants at the workshop included the media, Chiefs, civil society groups, students and youth leaders.
