The exercise, which is Phase One of the three-month project, is aimed at increasing knowledge about Ebola prevention in Lofa County, which is one of the hardest hit and the first county where the Ebola virus entered Liberia in March.

The Liberia News Agency correspondent says during the launching of the project at the weekend, Mr. Allen Quee, head of the UNMIL Civil Affairs Division, presented four new motorbikes to RUDEC to enhance the smooth operation of the project.

Receiving the motorbikes, Mr. Elijah Kwatah, RUDEC Executive Director, commended UNMIL and assured that the motorbikes would be used for the intended purpose.

The launching program held at the weekend at the William V. S. Tubman County Hall in Voinjama City, Lofa County, brought together more than 30 participants, including the Lofa County Superintendent, Voinjama City Mayor and the district health office, among others.
