MONROVIA, September 23(LINA) -The Chief Executive Officer of the Haba Empowerment and Endowment Center (HEEC), Mrs. Louise K. Haba, has said it is unwise and incorrect to negatively criticize efforts being made by the Liberian Government at the height of the fight against the Ebola disease.

Mrs. Haba stressed that the fight against the Ebola virus should claim the attention of every Liberian because the virulent disease has claimed over 1,000 lives across the country and does not discriminate.
HEEC is a local non-governmental organization involved in sanitation and operation of a loan scheme designed to empower people, mainly women, in skills training as well as offering scholarships to the less fortunate.
The Liberia News Agency reports that Mrs. Haba made the statement recently in an interview with reporters shortly after she donated over 50 Buckets to the Montserrado County Electoral District #13 Ebola Task Force to enhance the ongoing fight against the disease.
She pointed out that the epidemic can be contained if Liberians stop criticizing efforts being exerted by government and embark on a vigorous campaign to educate others to abide by the preventive measures outlined by the Health Ministry and its partners.

She told the reporters that her organization will shortly make available several cartons of gloves, nose masks, and pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be used by the task force in case of an emergency outbreak of the disease.
