MONROVIA, October 7 (LINA) - The French charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) has trained more than 400 community health volunteers to embark on a door-to-door spread of anti-Ebola messages in Monrovia and its environs.

Disclosing this at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing Monday, Laurence Sailly, Emergency Coordinator of MSF, said her institution has also hired the services of 1,375 people in Liberia to serve at the various Ebola Treatment Centers (ETUs) to help bring the Ebola outbreak under control.

She said these volunteers are assigned in Montserrado and Lofa Counties.

The MSF Official further disclosed that out of the 236 Ebola survivors from ETUs recorded so far, 40 percent are from the ELWA 3 Center.

Meanwhile, according to Sailly, about 15,000protection and disinfection kits were distributed in Monrovia recently, with over 2000 distributed to residents of New Kru Town.
