MONROVIA, November 9 (LINA) - The Chairman of the Gaye Dupaye Community in Gardnersville outside Monrovia has said vigorous awareness campaigns have kept the Ebola virus out of the community since its outbreak in March.

Chairman Benedict Bropleh said the community task force has undertaken numerous anti-Ebola campaigns involving the young and old to educate the over 1,000 inhabitants about preventive measures.

“The residents of this community listen to and abide by these messages, and as a result, not a single case of Ebola is recorded here,” he told the Liberia News Agency after a one-day workshop for the Community Ebola Task Force Saturday.

He said the Community Taskforce has also provided anti-Ebola items to residents who cannot afford to buy them.

Meanwhile, the lead facilitator of the workshop, Rose L. Kamarah, has encouraged members of the Community Task Force to remain steadfast in their efforts.
