The head of the Clinical Team at the ETU, David Kaggawa, said 22 of the number were tested positive with the virus, while the other six persons were tested with other illnesses in the month of September.
Kaggawa made the disclosure recently when President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf paid an acquaintance visit to the ETU, the Liberia News Agency reports.
He said the latest discharge brings to 96 the number of patients discharged from the ETU since it was established in early September.
He explained that 60 survivors were released on the 30th of September, and 14 last week, and 22 on Wednesday, November 26, thus bringing the number to 96.
Commenting on the discharge of the survivors, President Sirleaf thanked them for adhering to the instructions of health workers during their stay at the ETU.
The President called on those involved with social welfare in the government to always check on the survivors to ensure that they are doing well and are not rejected in their respective communities.
