Presenting the items to the Liberia Children Foundation (LCF) for distribution on Tuesday in Tubmanburg, the Action Aid Ebola Response Coordinator, Aisha Kolubah, said items donated include rice, oil, beans, Ebola disinfectants, clothing and anti-Ebola awareness materials.
Madam Kolubah said the items are mainly for women and children because they were most affected by the disease.
She did not give the cost of the items and the communities that will benefit from the donation.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the beneficiaries, the LCF Executive Director, Magnus Marvoy, said the donation came at the best time when community dwellers are in need.
Director Marvoy said Bomi County was one of the counties hardest hit by the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). He said the intervention is important for the county’s EVD Recovery Process.
Action Aid Liberia also made similar donation recently to the Bomi County Rural Women Association and Gender Based Task Force of Bomi County.
