He said the amount which is a grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is intended for contact tracing in about 400 communities, collection of data on affected gender and level of interventions by community-based organizations.
He made the disclosure Tuesday at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) special Ebola briefing in Monrovia.
Saah also revealed that his entity is expected to monitor activities and interventions of the Mano River Union governments along borderlines of affected regions to eradicate Ebola.
“We are grateful to the government and partners for the level of support given the youth in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus,” he said.
It can be recalled that the MRUYP in partnership with Action Aid-Liberia trained its regional parliamentarians and youth leaders from Bomi, Gbarpolu, Margibi and Montserrado Counties on the prevention of the virus and preparation for the post-Ebola era.
