At the official launch in Kakata Tuesday, SCI Margibi Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Manager Sameer Kariyu said the organization intends to use every necessary community engagement methods in getting residents of the county informed about the Ebola disease.
 
Kariyu disclosed that during the exercise, SCI will use local vernaculars and artists who will also be carrying out live drama and musical performances intended to give the ordinary people an understanding of the theme: “Ebola Must Go”.
 
He said the campaign will also take into consideration the culture of the people and will use community radios, newspapers and banners to sensitize their audiences.
 
Kariyu disclosed that the SCI groups will visit every village, town and city across the county, pointing out that SCI remains committed to helping the Liberian Government and partners eliminate the virus from the country.
 
Also speaking, Margibi acting County Health Officer (CHO), Dr. Adolphus Yeiah, thanked Save the Children for the numerous and significant contributions it has made to help solve some of the health crisis facing the county.
