The Ministry of Information, Culture & Tourism (MICAT) announces a new radio program - Ebola Half Hour – to respond to the reported Ebola outbreak in Liberia.

Ebola Half Hour will be aired daily on UNMIL Radio from 12:10 - 12:40 to provide the latest information on the status of the disease in the country, with simultaneous broadcast on Radio Veritas, Farbic FM, Truth FM, Power FM, Hott FM and LBS.

The program will also be relayed on community radio stations across the country.

The Chief Medical Office of Liberia, Dr. Bernice Dahn, or a designee, will address the Ebola Half Hour by presenting the outcome of the daily technical meeting of the Ministry of Health & Social Welfare and partners, including the World Health Organization.

In addition, a situation room has been set up at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, where local and international journalists and other concerned persons can gather further information about the outbreak.
