ZWEDRU, Jan 6 (LINA) -The National Election Commission (NEC) has certificated four civil society organizations in Southeastern Liberia as front-runners of voter education exercise for the 2014 mid-term Senatorial Election.

The ceremony was held at the Zwedru City Hall during the weekend at the official launch of the Civic and Voter Education exercise ahead of the Voter Roll Update slated for January 13 to March 5, 2014.

The  CSOs are Amu-Wulu  Forum, Unity Family for  Reconstruction, Liberian Youth for  Development  Services and Rural  Shelter  Assistance  Program  from  Grand  Gedeh, Maryland, River Gee  and  Grand Kru counties respectively.

The four groups will assist NEC in the  region, reaching schools, towns and villages to educate  first time voters who have attained age 18, as well as those who did not register in 2011 and others who have moved from one part of the country to another to participate in the Voter Roll Update.
