He said to achieve the intended objective of the proposal; the fund will be spread over the 73 electoral districts in the country to implement development projects.

Speaker Tyler made the statement Friday in Monrovia when he served as guest speaker at the installation of officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Workers' Association.

He explained that the money will be used to construct more clinics, hospitals, farm-to-market roads, elementary, junior and senior high schools as well as other projects in all of the districts.

Speaker Tyler also explained that the provision of social services such as electricity, safe-drinking water and modern public latrines for the people is the full responsibility of the government.

Earlier, Internal Affairs Deputy Minister for Administration Varney A. Sirleaf commended the workers for forming an organization that will seek their interest.

He called on the officers to refrain from vices that will create disunity between the administration and the workers.

Meanwhile, the workers' president, Patrick Nixon, has appealed to the administration to reintroduce the bus transport system for employees of the ministry, as was the case in the past.

He also stressed the need for the administration to place every employee on the ministry's allowance payroll as well as reactivate the ministry's scholarship program for the betterment of its workforce.
