Findley observed that holding dialogues on issues that would move the development agenda of Liberia forward will help address the many challenges confronting the nation.

The Grand Bass County Senator made the call Sunday at the John Jackson Powell Memorial United Methodist Church in Monrovia, when he was honored as Special Father of the Year.

He noted that Liberians are developing more hatred for each other, rather than loving each other as a result of the civil conflict that brought bitterness among brothers and sisters.

Findley stressed that dialogues would help resolve some of the problems that
Liberians are confronted with, noting that hatred and bitterness will not solve the problems facing the country.

According to the Liberia News Agency, he then called on clergymen to pray for peace and understanding among Liberians, noting that Liberians have suffered for too long and need God’s mercy.

Earlier, the Senior Pastor of the World Wide Mission Church, Rev. Emmanuel G. Gray, admonished Liberian fathers not to neglect their responsibilities as fathers.

Rev Gray said it is unfortunate that some fathers abandon their homes and cater for other women which, he noted, is against the virtue of good fatherhood.

Others honored by the church were Amos G. Doeyou as ‘Father of the Year
2014- 2015 and Mitchell Y. D. Jones, John S. Borbor and Representative Numene Bartekwa as ‘Special Fathers’.
