VOINJAMA, June 24 (LINA) -The Director of the Community Health Department (CHD) of the Lofa County Community Health Team has appealed for logistics to help health workers fight the deadly Ebola virus.

Mr. Edmond Eisah said health workers in the county also need more training to prepare them to tackle issues relating to the outbreak of the Ebola disease in Lofa County.

Mr. Eisah made the appeal recently in an interview with reporters at his office in the provincial capital Voinjama.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Mr. Eisah noted that health workers in the county need protective equipment to help protect them from contracting the virus while attending to victims.

Mr. Eisah has, meanwhile, commended Plan Liberia, IRC, SDC, PMU, LNRCS and other partners for their support to the Lofa County Health Team in the fight against the Ebola virus.
