The National Elections Commission (NEC) has begun the replacement of  missing or damaged voter registration cards in Grand Gedeh County.

According to the Liberia News Agency, the exercise, which started last week, is being carried out in the three electoral districts of Grand Gedeh County as well as at the commission’s office in Zwedru, the provincial capital.

The NEC Assistant Magistrate, Annie Suah Dennis, told LINA Thursday that the exercise is being carried out at the Zwedru City Hall for electoral District #1, Ziah Town Central High School in Konobo for District #2, and Zleh Borkey High School in Zleh Town, Gbarzon District for District #3.

Mrs. Dennis said the exercise will be restricted only to the replacement of missing and damaged cards and urged the public to cooperate for active participation in the October 14 Mid-term Senatorial election.
