Dr. Hawa Moore-Kromah, however, said the Margibi County Health Team (CHT) remains “very proactive in ensuring that the virus is contained in the county.”
Dr. Kromah said the CHTwas compelled to institute the required 21-day observation period following a recent confirmed case of a person with the Ebola virus in Kakata.
It can be recalled that a student of the Kakata Rural Teachers Training Institute (KRTTI), Michael Tengbeh, died from Ebola on June 26, 2014.
The situation led the County Health Team to send all the nurses that encountered student Tengbeh home for the required 21-day observation.
The CHT also advised all of student Tengbeh’s dormitory mates to as well observe the 21-day while vigorously tracing contacts made by all during the incident.
