He made the statement to citizens and residents in Twarbo, the administrative district headquarters of Bilibo, situated on the border with La Cote d’Ivoire, while on the second leg of his countywide administrative tour.
According to the Public Relations Officer in the office of the Superintendent, Fred Hanson,, Mr. Solo noted that the ban remains in force until otherwise advised by the Forestry Development Authority (FDA), and must be respected.
He told the Liberia News Agency Monday that during the tour, the Superintendent inspected and assessed several development projects, including the 23 km Boundary-Ziah Town road, which is in deplorable condition and the bridge connecting Twarbo to Glio, which is also in a bad state.
He assured that the people’s concerns about bad roads, bridges and others infrastructure will be highlighted on the agenda during the development council meeting slated for September this year.
During the tour, the Superintendent and his16-man party also made a brief stop at the Dugbeh River Presbyterian Mission School in Saywou Town, where he paid a courtesy call on Mr. Isaac Munah, a son of Grand Gedeh County based in the USA, to thank him for his effort in building a modern school in the area.
He promised to work through the Education Ministry to enforce compulsory education to boost the effort of the mission which is giving free education.
Superintendent Solo and party were met upon arrival in the district by Konobo Statutory District acting Superintendent Philip N. Dorbor and Glio/Twarbo Administrative District Commissioner Joseph Tarlue, who were accompanied by a jubilant greeting crowd.
Meanwhile, the citizens have appealed for the community radio in Zwedru, the provincial capital, to strive to reach their area to provide them information and entertainment.
