MONROVIA, July 16 (LINA) – Assistant Health Minister for Preventive Services, Tolbert Nyensuah, has advised individuals to report suspected cases of Ebola of relatives and friends to health authorities for immediate and timely intervention.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Nyensuah cited the case of Claudius Barnawolo, an Ebola survivor, as “a classic example and a clear manifestation” that if Ebola victims are taken to the treatment unit on time and given supportive treatment, there will be survivors of the disease.
He made the assertion at the reintegration program of Barnawolo held at the Treatment Unit of the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Monrovia on Wednesday.
“He was found positive of Ebola, but after going through thorough treatment and was tested three times, Claudius’ tests proved negative and that is why we are releasing him to his family,” Nyensuah said.
He told journalists that though Barnawolo had been declared Ebola free, he will still need more treatment and rest in order for his body to regain its original status because of the number of days he underwent intense treatment.
