HARPER, July 21(LINA) – Police in Harper, Maryland County, have arrested 22- year-old Josiah Saydee and charged him with armed robbery, criminal attempt to commit murder and aggravated assault.

Saydee, a resident of Hance Street in Harper, reportedly stabbed a motorcycle operator, identified as Joseph Koffa, whom he had chartered several times to take him to Pleebo, Maryland’s second city.

Maryland County Police Commander David Walker told Liberia News Agency that the incident occurred on the 20-mile Harper-Pleebo highway.

He said Saydee, who was on the run for three days after committing the crime, was later captured by a police search team which discovered Koffa’s bike in the forest during the search.

Meanwhile, Saydee has been sent to court, while the victim Koffa, also 22, is seeking medical attention at the Jackson F. Doe Memorial Hospital in the Tapita, Nimba County.
