Dolo is the third defense witness in the case involving five suspects who were arrested on November 9, 2013 at the Tienni Checkpoint in Grand Cape Mount County by the police and charged with narcotic drug trafficking in the President’s Escort car.

In his testimony, Mr. Dolo said on November 9, 2013 he left Monrovia to go to the Tienni checkpoint after he received an unknown call that his car was having a problem at the checkpoint.

He said upon receiving the call, he contacted a taxi driver known as Mohammed Bah and told him to pick him up because the motorbike he was riding broke down on the way.

Mr. Dolo said Mr. Bah came in his taxi along with an Emergency Response Unit (ERU) officer, Mr. Cyrus Slaney, who is his friend, but that he too got arrested at the checkpoint that day.

He said of the 10 bags of narcotic drugs the police said they arrested from them only one bag was brought in the court.

He lamented that he has been in jail for nine months for something he knows nothing about, saying that the prosecution have failed to produce the evidence against him.

He noted that if indeed he was arrested with narcotic drugs, they should have brought it in open court or even taken his photo with the substance.

Meanwhile, the Presiding Judge of the Criminal Court C” Yusuf Kaba has adjourned the case for Wednesday July 23, when Agent Price Beslow of the Drug Enforcement Agency is expected to to take the stand to testify.
