In its report, the NFS said this month (July), nine fire incidences have occurred so far in Monrovia and surrounding areas, with one death and thousands of dollars worth of property destroyed.
The LNFS Director of Communication, Col. Jassah N. Ganyan made the disclosure in an interview Tuesday with the Liberia News Agency at her office in Monrovia.
She said the fires were caused by candles, illegal connection of electric wires and storage of gasoline in homes, and warned against such practices to avoid more fire outbreaks.
