According to the Liberia News Agency (LINA), Commissioner Paasawe made the call at Bo Waterside during an inspection of the border by the Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BIN), Lemuel Reeves, over the weekend.

Commissioner Paasawe said the government should provide motorbikes for the joint security, especially officers of BIN and health care workers, to enable them take Ebola preventive materials to towns and villages that are not easily accessible.

She noted that the bikes will also assist health workers and officers of the joint security get to targeted places on time when news of an Ebola outbreak is announced, especially during this rainy season.

The Commissioner disclosed that her office is working with both health care workers and the joint security, especially officers of the BIN, in implementing the President’s mandate by sensitizing the people about the danger of the disease as well as the various preventive measures.

She thanked Commissioner Reeves and his team for their visit and for the supply of assorted protective gears, including buckets, gloves and face masks to members of the joint security at the border.
