HARPER, August 26 (LINA) - Acting Maryland County Superintendent Nathaniel Toe has ordered the immediate closure of the county’s borders with River Gee and Grand Kru counties.

Superintendent Toe’s action at the weekend came as a result of reports of the death of four persons from the Ebola virus in River Gee County.

Giving the order at his Harper Administrative Building Office, Toe said the death of the four persons signals to Marylanders that there was a need to intensify their fight against the Ebola virus to protect the county.

Meanwhile, the Pleebo Health Center in Maryland County has reportedly closed down.

The closure of the health center comes in the wake of the outbreak of the virus in River Gee County, where two staff at the center had gone to attend the funeral of their dead relatives in River Gee.
