According to the Liberia News Agency, all seven have been charged with criminal conspiracy, criminal facilitation, theft of property and forgery.
The accused Paye Gono, Roland Boayue, Patrick Williams, Prince Keylah, Abraham Flomo, Mondayma Railey and David Elliott briefly appeared at the Monrovia City Court and were sent back to jail Tuesday.
The charge sheet, quoting a complaint from the head of security investigation at Eco-Bank Liberia Limited, Varney Kromah, indicated that on October 8, 2012, the suspects “criminally withdrew” US$78,600 from the company’s account at the bank.
The charge sheet indicated that during police investigation the accused admitted to the crime.
