A release from the Education Ministry did not disclose the names of the principals, but named the schools as the Paynesville Community, Special Project, J.C.N. Howard, 72nd Public School and Ephemia Abdullah Public School.
 
According to the release, the principals allegedly added money to the stipulated amount of LD$350 that was announced by the ministry for this coming semester.
However, the release said the Ephemia Public School has already made reimbursement.  
 
The ministry is also investigating schools in Bong, Lofa, Montserrado and Margibi counties for similar acts.
 
Meanwhile, the ministry is warning schools against the collection of WAEC fees until May 2015, adding that only students who passed all three 1st semester instructional periods will be allowed to register for the exams.
