In a letter to House Speaker J. Alexander Tyler, which was placed on the Agenda for discussion on Thursday, Kogar expressed disagreement over writing a letter of apology on grounds that it would serve as double punishment.
 
He, however, agreed with the aspect of Plenary’s decision that has to do with three months suspension without pay, incentives and other benefits.
   
The Nimba County Representative and two others were suspended for three and one month respectively by the Plenary for their involvement in the disruption of Session on January 13 and 15, and were also requested to write letters of apology.

Plenary was unable to discuss Kogar’s letter on Thursday because the House did not convene Session due to the lack of quorum.  

Of the 73 lawmakers, representing the 15 political sub-divisions of Liberia, only 21 showed up for session with three suspended and one seat vacant.

The situation prompted Grand Kru County Representative G. Wesseh Blamo, who served as Presiding Officer on Tuesday and Thursday, to mandate Sergeant-At-Arms Martin Johnson to prevail on all lawmakers who were absent on Thursday to be present next Tuesday.

Also on the Agenda for discussion was a communication from Grand Gedeh County Representative Zoe Pennue, asking Plenary to cite the Executive Governor of the Central Bank of Liberia and the Management of the Liberia Bank for Development and Investment on banking services in the country, especially rural parts.
 
The Thursday incident brings to two the number of premature adjournment of session in less than two months due to a lack of quorum.
 
It can be recalled that the House failed to convene its 8th Day Sitting on February 5 as a result of poor attendance.
