Pres. Sirleaf Consoles China, Tanzania

(LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has extended messages of condolence to the Governments and Peoples of the People's Republic of China and the United Republic of Tanzania for the death of their citizens.
 
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the unfortunate situation occurred when a bus turned over in Guangzhou Province, Southwest China, killing 11 persons and leaving 19 others injured, while another van turned over in Linzhou City, Henan Province killed 20 persons and injured 13 others and the death of 41 persons in a truck accident in the Iringa Region in Tanzania.
 
The release further indicates that in her separate messages to her counterparts Dr. Jakaya Morisho Kikwete of the United Republic of Tanzania and XI Jinping of China, President Sirleaf extended her heartfelt condolences to them and the bereaved families for the irreparable loss sustained.
 
The Liberian leader then prayed that the fortitude, courage and resilience which has modeled the Chines character through the ages will see the Government and People of China through this period of national mourning and to the United Republic of Tanzania that the Almighty Allah will grant Dr. Kikwete and the People of Tanzania strength, courage and fortitude as they go through this period of national mourning.
