According to the Liberia News Agency, the presentation was made by the County Agriculture Coordinator, Mr. Edmond Greaves, at the weekend in the district.
He said the ministry’s decision to provide the machines to the organization, which has been involved in rice and cassava production in the county since 2014, is to enhance its capacity.
Meanwhile, Greaves is urging the farmers to put aside tribal and sectional differences and get involved in the production of rice, cassava, plantain and banana crops to make the county self-sufficient in food.
Receiving the items, the manager of the cooperative, Mustapha Kamara, thanked the authorities at the agriculture ministry for providing machines to enhance their work.
