(LINA) -Liberia's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg and European Union, Isaac Nyenabo, has challenged Liberians in the Diaspora to join the massive development and reconstruction taking place in their country.

He told a group of Liberians residing in the Benelux region, who had gathered to welcome him as their ambassador, that since the election of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the country has transformed in many areas, promoting development and infrastructure boost in the country.

According to a dispatch, Ambassador Nyenabo said since 2005 the country has seen road reconstruction in both rural and urban areas, construction and upgrade schools, health centers and hospitals and massive housing development in both the private and public sectors.
The Liberian diplomat cited the Monrovia-Buchanan, 72ndRoad, Monrovia-Ganta, Central Monrovia, Gardnerville, Neezoe and many neighborhood road projects plus other rural roads.

He said the old Waterside, Caldwell and many bridges have either been reconstructed or reconditioned across the country.

''As I speak to you fellow Liberians, there are many junior colleges across the country in Grand Bassa, Lofa, Bong, Nimba and Sinje Technical School and other colleges have been established to cater for rural people,” the dispatch said.

He said also remarkable is the transformation of the William VS Tubman Technical College into a full-fledged University that grants degrees in many disciplines to Liberians in the Southeast and other parts of the country.
