She said the full participation of women in self-help projects in the various communities will buttress government’s national reconstruction program in the aftermath of the 14-year civil conflict.
Zayzay made the statement in Kaiwu Clan, when the National Civil Society Ebola Taskforce Team toured the county recently, according to the Liberia News Agency correspondent in the county.
The women leader said the failure of Liberian women to undertake self- help projects could render the government unable to achieve its intended development agenda.
She said it is regrettable to note that the lack of farm-to-market roads in rural Liberia has reflected on the inability of government to rehabilitate and construct roads that will connect towns and villages for free movement of goods and services as well as citizens.
