Pres. Sirleaf Inspects Rivercess-Sinoe Road Project

MONROVIA, May 14 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has inspected ongoing work on the Rivercess-Sinoe road that is being rehabilitated by the Solid Rock firm and the Engineering Battalion of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).


She carried out the inspection along the route to Greenville where she also interacted with citizens, especially students who lined the route to greet the presidential convoy.
 
President Sirleaf arrived in Greenville, Sinoe County at the start of a four-day visit to south-eastern Liberia.
 
According to an Executive Mansion release, the Liberian leader who departed Monrovia early Wednesday morning will also visit Grand Kru County.
 
The visit is intended to meet with the leadership of the two counties co-hosting this year’s Independence anniversary as well as inspect development projects expected to be dedicated during the celebrations.
 
At Nyefour Town, the Liberian leader received the traditional kola nuts and was officially welcomed to Sinoe County by Superintendent Romeo Quiah, elders, traditional leaders and youth.
 
Upon arriving in Greenville, President Sirleaf visited the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court building expected to be officially dedicated during this year’s Independence celebration.
 
She also toured the presidential guest house and the J. Dominic Bing, Sr., City Hall that is being renovated for the celebrations.
 
President Sirleaf departs Greenville for Barclayville, Grand Kru County on Thursday in continuation of her tour of the two counties.
 
She is expected back in the capital, Monrovia on Saturday, May 16, 2015
