TUBMANBURG, September 21(LINA) - Nine female inmates have been transferred from the Central Prison in Monrovia to the Tubmanburg Prison Compound in Bomi County to reduce over crowdedness at the central prison.

Making the disclosure in Tubmanburg recently, the Superintendent of the Tubmanburg Prison Compound (TPC) Clarence Dono said health workers from the government hospital are assigned to monitor the inmates and cater to their health at the prison compound.

Superintendent Dono said all inmates are in good health and there is no need for the Prison Officers and inmates at the Prison Compound to fear.

He said authorities of Bomi County have joined wardens at the prison to pay special attention to the nine females inmates.

He said the Tubmanburg prison has the capacity to host the incoming inmates at its compound which has over 40 inmates presently.
