(LINA) – President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has expressed delight over the level of consensus within the ranks of the Heads of State of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

These attributes, she pointed out, significantly contributed to the formulation of relevant decision to foster the regional integration process.

According to a dispatch from Accra, Ghana, the Liberian leader, speaking on behalf of her colleagues at the end of 47th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Heads of State, thanked outgoing ECOWAS Chairman, President John Mahama of Ghana, for his commitment to peace, security and good governance.

She also lauded the Ghanaian leader for his remarkable leadership in steering the affairs of the regional community.
