In a communication to House Speaker Alex Tyler read in plenary Thursday, the Bassa lawmaker said it has been reported that there is growing tension in Buchanan City, as scores of people have been laid off by Arcelor Mittal.
He expressed fear that if no concrete action is taken by government to rescue the situation, hundreds of citizens will be jobless and the poverty plaguing the country would be heightened.
He stressed that there is an urgent need for these government officials to appear before plenary to provide an explanation.
