MOA Rehabilitating Stalled Projects In Gedeh

(LINA) - Several construction works under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) in Grand Gedeh County have restarted after the Ebola outbreak in Liberia.

Ministry of Public Works’ feeder roads Engineer Ophelia Bedell made the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) following an inspection of a dam, rice mill and milling warehouse on Kannah Road in Zwedru.

She also said the MOA facilities - management building, office and generator house at the Kudah Bye-Pass in the xigty were in progress.

She said except for the dam under construction by LADRIS, the firm which took the contract and is to be a bit slow with supply of materials, the rice mill and milling warehouse will be completed in 10 months.

Bedell said work on the management building and office by T and T construction firm will be ready in six months with present work at roof level.

She disclosed that work on the projects was halted when the Ebola virus struck Liberia in March 2014.
