“In order to achieve this,” Vice President Boakai said, “every aspect and period of our individual and national life should be treated with seriousness if we are to achieve a state of national development where all Liberians will be economically empowered and lifted.”
 
According to a press release, Vice President Boakai made the call over the weekend when he inducted officers of the Senior Class of Cuttington University in Suakoko, outside Gbarnga in Bong County.
 
He told the officers of the class that leadership comes with responsibility, and urged them to properly manage the affairs entrusted them as leaders, noting that positive accomplishments will impact the lives of those who elected them.
 
He commended the class for the building project that will house the hall in which theses of graduating seniors will be defended.
 
Vice President Boakai later led an array of government officials, including cabinet ministers and legislators, to break grounds for the project.
 
While in Gbarnga, Veep Boakai received in audience several organizations who pledged their support to his 2017 presidential bid, including the “Community Ambassadors for Boakai” that had already established themselves in 10 counties and presented to the Vice President the Seal and Map of Liberia.
