29 (LINA) –The Director General of the General Services Agency (GSA), Mary Broh, has demolished a number of ghettoes in Barclayville, Grand Kru County.

The demolition exercise, according to reports, is part of efforts to give Barclayville a facelift as Grand Kru County prepares to co-host the July 26 Independence Anniversary celebration.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency on Monday, James Markim Sua of the Voice of Grand Kru radio station said several persons, including a 60 year-old public school teacher were arrested during the exercise and charged with illegal possession of narcotic and dangerous drugs by the Liberia National Police.

He also told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) that several completed development projects are expected to be dedicated during the independence celebrations.
.
He named a Circuit Court building, two Peace Corps residences, among others, as some of the projects expected to be dedicated.
