Dr. Emmanuel Musa said WHO will continue to provide the needed support to the Ministry of Health to implement the country’s strategic plan to build a resilient health system.
Dr. Musa made the remarks Friday at the end of three-day stakeholders consultative meeting on “Strengthening National Capacity for Epidemic Preparedness, Surveillance and Response held at the Monrovia City Hall.
He noted that the health sector in Liberia has gained a lot of experience from the Ebola crisis and it is crucial to translate these experiences into concrete action to eradicate diseases in the country.
The WHO official explained that it is important for local and international partners to work together in helping Liberia build a strong and resilient health system that will address the health needs of the people.
Dr. Musa hoped that the recommendations from the stakeholders consultative meeting will be implemented to enhance the surveillance and response system of diseases in Liberia.

MONROVIA, July 4 (LINA) - The Deputy Country Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) has pledged the institution’s commitment to support the health sector of Liberia.
