The Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice has detained two persons at the Monrovia Central Prison on charges of armed robbery.

Defendants Abraham Isaac and Isaac Momolu, both residents of Paynesville Community, were on June 20 arrested by the Liberia National Police (LNP) based upon a complaint filed by victims Jallah J. Kokolu and Suleman Jallah.

The two claimed that they sustained injuries and lost valuable properties during the incident.
The Police charge Sheet quoted victim Kokolu as saying that the two defendants along with others who are at large, attacked him with knives, cutlasses and other sharp objects while he was walking on Broad Street near the Ministry of Transport.
He said they threatened to kill him if he did not surrender his money and other valuables to them.

He said it was when Suleman Jallah came to his rescue that he too was attacked and injured, according to the Police report.
He said they were later rushed to the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Sinkor for treatment.
During police investigation, the defendants admitted committing the crime of armed robbery and named their accomplices as ‘No Bad Day’, Long Life and two other colleagues to be identified
